Description of Pressure Bricks
- Bricks are formed on-site from a mixture of Soil, Sand and Concrete. All items with the exception are taken from site, creating a truly green solution.
- The bricks are formed utilizing a conveyor system feeding to a press. The bricks are then stored and harden over the next 48 hours through multiple watering cycles which allows the concrete to harden.
- As the bricks are interlocking they can be stacked on top of each other without concrete, solidity is instead provided through the use of waste mortar and rebar
Benefits of Bricks
- The speed of the system means that installation can occur at speeds of up to 350% of Typical Construction.
- Less manpower is needed due to the ease of installation. This especially important for areas with low levels of skilled labor.
- Due to lower levels of concrete being used for load bearing the costs are lowered.
- High level of noise and thermal insulation due to higher density of finished product.
- Ability to produce different bricks and finishes on a needs basis.
- Uses the natural environment to create product
Applications of Bricks
Bricks can be utilized for various different projects but typically it is 4 level buildings and below. It is particularly useful for Mass Housing projects of simple finishes.
